Privacy and crawl etiquette
Reports are private by default and only visible to whoever ran the check; sharing a report is an explicit, opt-in action. Running a check makes a limited number of public web requests to the submitted website — at most 100 pages — from an identifiable scanner that respects robots.txt, similar to how a search engine crawler would behave.
